I didn’t connect with the characters or the story. The spicy sections didn’t intrigue or enthrall me like the first novel in this series. It fell flat for me. 

I wasn’t invested in the mystery. I love the characters and had a few laughs. But all in all, I couldn’t finish.

The novella prequel and the first half was 5 stars. Then it went off the rails for me. Rachel became completely unlikeable and the unethical piece of the plot was super cringy. 

Questioned the factual basis of this story. There were few things that were unsettling, but the last part I listened to was so unbelievable, I had to say, ok, I’m out.

Just isn’t the right time for me to read this books. Will return to it in future
