Another YA winner that is 3.75 stars. There are so many positive messages in this book. "When all that's left of me is love, give me away."

Between 3-3.5 stars...I'm glad I read this book as it showed insight to life for rural women in Afghanistan and it kept me involved and very interested in what was going to happen next. I enjoyed how the two stories were told in alternating voices. However, it didn't "wow" like other books I've read in this genre.

Definitely a solid 3.5 stars. I enjoyed Emily's writing.

3 1/2 stars for this short, quirky book. It made me smile and laugh out loud several times...it's romantic and fanciful.

3 1/2 stars...I enjoyed how this book went back and forth between the current day and one hundred years ago, sharing the story of a woman and her great grandmother. This would be a good book club read.
