Can't believe I'd never heard of this before! Short, sharp, said everything it needed to say.

I can't give this book a rating because the first 60-odd % I was bored to tears. Non-stop navel gazing took up most of the full calendar year that this book spans and it's the worst with sprinkling of enough poetic lines to keep me highlighting.
But then things finally kick into high gear and we FINALLY get the Nico/Gideon kiss that I waited TWO BOOKS FOR and Libby graduates from crazy ex-girlfriend to MURDEROUS ex-girlfriend and it's GLORIOUS. I am now officially back in and waiting for book three.

Colfer is one of the rare authors who can write fun adventure books for children and for adults.
Nonsensical, nonlinear, dull. Gave up at 31%.
This was as cute as the previous ones, but it only gets two stars from me because we're four books in and no closer to solving the mystery of the Incorrigible children's parentage and Penelope's Hair.
It did include my favorite insult of all time against a bard:
"Even pirates know the life of a bard isn't worth the cost of a half price ticket to a children's matinée."

Really slow and depressing, but did have some beautiful lines in it. I did love that you find out for sure that Kya killed Chase, because I kept changing my mind as I was reading.
