So, so good. I want to give this book to everyone I love.
Heavy in both battle and betrayal, The Queen of Crows picks up right where The Armored Saint leaves off and it's thrilling to see Heloise struggle with the villagers and the Traveling People and try to understand what she is fighting for. I wished there had been a little more downtime in between the fighting to get more character development. The ending was solid and sets the stage for the conclusion very well.
This translation was great, very modern and easy to read. It just wasn't very interesting or in depth.
A solid ending to a trilogy I loved. It felt a little more forced than the first two as far as the drama, but I was happy with everyone's endings, and I was totally shocked when I found out who actually killed Mariel!!
Aunt Tillie was so mean in this one I struggled to get into it. It made me feel the opposite of Christmas-y :(
Mistletoe and Mischief: A Collection of Magical Holiday Tales
Ella Malone, Anna Albergucci, Brian Hocevar, Blaire Edens, J. Mills, Deb Christie, Katie Hayoz, Angelique Archer, Bokerah Brumley, Jayne Fury, Pauline Creeden, Melanie Karsak, Erin Hayes, T.K. Bradley, Margo Bond Collins, S.K. Gregory, Carrie L. Wells
Most of the stories were garbage, and despite the Christmas theme these were mostly scary stories. One or two were worth reading, but the constant typos and grammatical errors made it clear that no one really cared about the quality of this collection.
I absolutely adored this book when I was fourteen but as an adult I found it pretty cringe-y.
A neat look at some longheld (and largely incorrect) thoughts on dinosaurs, and an interesting take on why we are so fascinated by them today. I learned a lot, and thought way more about dinosaur sex than I would have believed.
