Heavy in both battle and betrayal, The Queen of Crows picks up right where The Armored Saint leaves off and it's thrilling to see Heloise struggle with the villagers and the Traveling People and try to understand what she is fighting for. I wished there had been a little more downtime in between the fighting to get more character development. The ending was solid and sets the stage for the conclusion very well.
