I like the idea of the collected rhymes, but there's no cohesion between each one and most of them don't make any sense.

I really wanted to like this. Killer mermaid boy and his three killer mermaid sisters living in Lake Superior killing humans? Sign me up!

But apparently I signed up for a whiny merman who doesn't kill anyone the whole book and falls in love and betrays his family for it. I think I'd write more if I wasn't afraid of falling asleep first.

The descriptions of his transformation and their underwater world was very cool.

There wasn't much of a story but it was a cool way to learn some basic characters.

Very cute.
