“You’re the intriguing intro that draws me in. You’re the verse that just barely gives an inch before your chorus f-ing memorizes me. You’re hidden between every heartbreaking cord that I pick at the bridge and your laughter plays in tune with every note of the song in my mind. You’re the whole d-mn melody to me, Ellie.” -Jace

“You’re every moan, cry, laugh, and scream. Every inch of your skin and the air in your goddamn lungs belongs to me. You want to know why? Because there is no one, no world, no universe for me without you. I am lost without you, Eleanor. You have me for eternity. Without you, there is no past, or present, or future. You alone are my captivating insanity. The only infinity for me. My whole f-ing existence in one being.” -Cooper

“Coop may be your stars and I may be your sun, but Ellie, you’re our godd-mn sky.” -Jace

“You are love to me, Eleanor. This. Right here. Is home to me.” -Cooper

“One I can’t bear to lose again and the other I can’t imagine losing for a first time.” -El

Prepare to smile, sob (like for real lots and lots), and just generally feel like your heart is being torn in two. If you read my review for Entangled you saw that I was Team Coop, and if I’m forced to choose I’m still Team Coop — but I don’t want to choose! I love Cooper and Jace so much. They bring out such different and important parts of El. The end of the last book was painful for everyone, and this one is for a while. Lies and secrets tend to be that way.

It was a fun escape in this book to meet El’s boy squad and see her a little more light hearted. But I had a feeling lighthearted wouldn’t last… the impending choice was inching closer and closer which meant heart break was around the corner. What I didn’t expect was the ending we got!! Oh wow, buckle up, friends! You are in for one heck of a bumpy but incredible ride.

5 ⭐️ 3 🌶️

“I know that you can be reckless because you’re so f-ing scared that the moment you don’t feel alive is the one you’re going to die in.” -Cooper

“These stars of ours were written in darkness and bound with light. Ensuring my soul would seek yours for eternity. Forever lost to this captivating insanity of we.” -Cooper

And I can practically feel it, taste it. The way our hearts and souls yield to one another, twisting round and round until we’re inextricably entangled, no beginning or ending to be found between us. Simply one being. A never-ending infinity of us. -El

“I belong to you, Ellie. Don’t ever doubt that. Always have in a way.” -Jace

“You brought my heart back to life again when I didn’t even want it at all. And I will always, always, love you for that. You will forever be the rising sun that I chase.” -El

I honestly cannot remember the last time I was this engrossed in a story. Entangled was absolutely captivating. All you need to know are these three things: 1) this is a Helen of Troy retelling, so prepare yourself for an epic love triangle with two of the swooniest guys, 2) just go ahead and have Bound downloaded because you’ll want to immediately dive in, and 3) TEAM COOP all the way — don’t get me wrong, Jace is all things sweet and sunshine, but Cooper is dark and delicious and absolutely has my vote.

El, I feel for ya girl, secrets and lies are hard. Even if some of them are your own.
