Thank you Melissa for the ARC of this book! I absolutely adored Avery and Foster!

Avery Remington, younger sister, of Nashville Devil’s hockey player Rhett Remington is a single mom to a cute baby boy Mason. She’s been screwed over by a hockey player before, Mason’s dead best dad, and she’s sworn them off. But apparently crushes happen regardless of intentions because as soon as she saw Foster Craig back when she was pregnant, the crush developed and only grew from there, I mean come on, he has a British accent! She’s boxed that crush up tight, because number one, in her mind a single mom with some extra curves is not his type and number two, she doesn’t need her heart broken by the biggest player in the NHL.  

Things get a little interesting when Foster kisses her at a party and it gets caught on camera. Soon after he’s proposing a fake dating arrangement to improve his image. Can Avery keep the crush locked up tight? Or is it Foster who will be the one to break? While their feelings have to be sorted, their chemistry is quite clear, it’s off the charts! 

Avery has some self-confidence issues due to a difficult family past and some shifty prior boyfriends. Foster is incredible with building her up both in and out of the bedroom. And oh my god, he is absolutely adorable with Mason! He has some experience with kids and his own trauma that explains his reluctance to love, but you’ll have to read to find out more about that 😉! 

Oh and how could I forget, Avery is an aspiring writer working on her debut novel! We get some awesome scenes with her at a bookstore talking to another indie author and discussing sports romance books that you will recognize! Foster is of course supportive of this endeavor and even helps brainstorm some spice 😍!
