Like many other people - I ravished this book - in about 48 hours.
Really enjoyed the narrative - really enjoyed the story - and felt very much in the moment.
Perfect summer read as far as I'm concerned!

It was fine - but having seen it EVERYWHERE - I was kind of expecting something a little more spellbinding.
If you're looking for a nice read of the summer, this will fit the bill nicely.

It's pleasant enough but if you look deeper, it's predictable and a little trite.

Oh and Chase and Tate were so close in name (as a Brit!) that I actually didn't know they were different people for a large portion of the book :-D

It's hard to say you enjoyed a book about something so sad and real - but felt this was really well written. The characters were real and true with many faults and foibles - but still you rooted for then and their happiness. A good book to read about the injustices in the world.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It was fun, it was practical, it was useful. Looking forward to going back over the Lift and Climb actions and bringing them into my life.

As a side note, I’ve been exploring my discomfort with so called feminist books as I’m aware the industry is a mosh pot of light and fluffy ‘empowerment’ books that provide no real help. This book is NOT one of those - I found it genuine, honest and an utter delight.

EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS BOOK!

Just want everyone who sees this to know that Chanel Miller is an exquisite writer. Despite the subject of the book (sexual assault, rape, the shitty justice system) there is a rare beauty in the way Chanel narrates what happened to her. And then you being to understand the impact on survivors (time and energy and more and more and more) that goes beyond 'a single incident'.

When I read her statement back in 2016 and heard what had happened to her - it really impacted me and my life and my way of thinking and this book is no different.

I can't wait to read whatever else she writes about - she could write about crisp packets and I would read it.
