Did enjoy this book and felt like I learned things, particularly around the physiological make up of introverts and extroverts.
However felt some of the sections a bit of a slog and hard to engage with.
The personal side (often interesting) also made me feel like the author was generalising or assuming the commonalities.
Particularly enjoyed section on highly sensitive though because that resounds - and helps me make sense of myself!

I initially had quite a cathartic reaction to this book and rated it 3 stars. However a couple of days later, I realised that I had been harsh based on the sorrow throughout the book.
It’s a sad but poignant story based around the Russian/ German. It has beautiful prose, and the characters, whether minor or not, became so real to me that I almost felt like I could feel their feelings.
Contains the brutality of war, often bringing me to tears, but I still think well worth the read.

Really enjoyed this read! It’s given me really good food for thought when making decisions and evaluating choices/ mistakes.
The only criticism is that the examples are extremely male dominated and it would have been good to have a more varied approach.

Really enjoyed the prose of this book. It’s gentle, poignant and thoughtful.
