This book is compelling, useful, and a great introduction to anti-racism. I learned a lot about the history of race and racism in Britain.

The poems included in Alecia Gabrielle's debut collection are so soft and beautiful and tender. I went through such a rollercoaster of emotions while reading this book, and my heart was aching all the way through. I'm so grateful to have been able to read this book, and to have Alecia's writing in my life through her Instagram @poetrybyalecia.

This chapbook is absolutely incredible. I have loved Tyler's writing since I first started reading his work on his Instagram @transwritings, but this is a whole new level of respect. Every poem in this collection is stunning and I had so many intense and indescribable feelings while reading them. I'm definitely going to read these poems again and again, and I'd highly recommend reading this book. Tyler is a genius and an amazing poet.

This book, like all of Diane's writing, is a gift!! Her poems have such gorgeous images and so many lines made me gasp out loud. She manages to be funny one moment and heartbreaking the next, and her poems made me feel such a range of emotions. Every poem is printed in both English and French, and the illustrations are darling as well. After reading this I just wanted to thank her for letting me have this piece of her life, as her words are beautiful and I'm grateful they're in my life. (Go check out more of her writing @diane_writes on Instagram! She has another book coming out in early 2021 and she'll post updates there, as well as sneak previews.)

I've followed Maddie's work for a while online (@mgm.poetry on Instagram!) and I was so happy to read some old favorites in there, as well as plenty of amazing new ones. This book will take you on a journey and make your heart ache and I love how truly Maddie it feels.

Caitlin Conlon writes so beautifully! I've always loved her work on Instagram (@cgcpoems) but had never gotten around to reading this; I think if I'm being honest this is partially because I have never gone through a breakup, and I didn't know if I could relate to a whole chapbook of breakup poems. If that's at all similar to how you're feeling, rest assured that this book is *amazing* and will rip your heart out no matter who you are. I related to it so much, and her poems aren't the typical breakup poems you've read a million versions of. Part of me is like "why on earth didn't you read this before," but another part of me is like "thank god I hadn't read this so that I could experience it all as brand-new tonight."

I love Shyanna's writing, both in this book and on her Instagram @shyannawrites! This book is soft and warm and heartbreaking and raw and honest, and my heart was feeling so many things by the end of it.
