This book was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy! There was plenty of humorous scenes. I really liked the cast of characters and their small town vibe - I wish we saw more of the town though, I feel like there could be lots of hijinks to be had there!
The main couple had a great transition from enemies (I use that lightly, though - they were mostly sarcastic strangers) to hook up to love. They both had individual issues to work through and there was a lot of patience and talking things out, which I love to see.
Read this if you like romcoms, fated mates, and a new spin on vampires!
Thank you to the author for an ARC, all opinions left are my own.

This little bite sized novella packs quite a punch. You're dropped into the world of Ophelia, who is the newest member of a cult of wives. The reader follows along as she becomes a full fledge eternal wife.
This one is dark, quick and gritty. Lots of gore and violence, so if those aren't your jam I would stay away. If you do like, however, this a good sit down and read in one afternoon. The writing was strangely beautiful and sad considering the subject material. I would love to dive back into this world again!
The ending/twist left me heartbroken. I was so rooting for her.

I went into this expecting spice and lots of it.
And there was. Boy, there was.
But even more, there is a beautiful tale of found family, deep connections of love, and some really awesome fight scenes. In the constant background, the story of the cultists was really cool! It kept some intrigue going and made this more than a monster why choose romance. I want to know more about the world, the cultures and the creatures! No characters fell flat, each where beautifully written and grew on me. They all had their quirks, their backstories and their faults - you could tell the author truly cares about her story and her characters.
Thank you to the author for providing a copy, this review is my own thoughts and left voluntarily.

I participated in an adopt an author event and I was given this author to review. Looking back, I wish I would have chosen the second book to start with. The combo YA horror romance is not the type of book I usually go for. The writing was interesting when it was the secret admirer's perspective. I wish there was more focus on the murders themselves versus the does he love me back and forth. The timeline and time passing was also a bit clunky and the large passages of time skipped made it hard to follow at times. Be prepared for a pretty explicit book!
However, that being said, I am willing to give the second book a try. I am interested to see where the murders go and the author herself did state that the beginning novella was just to give some backstory.

This is a super interesting book! Told in a series of interconnected short stories (called novel in stories), it weaves a tale of some pretty brutal murders and Navajo magic. My favorite story was "Welcome to Prospector's Junction". I think it wrapped up the series nicely and, without giving anything away, was a super interesting idea.
There are a lot of characters and timelines to keep track of (though the timeline always moves linear). I would suggest reading this book in one or two sittings - which is easy to do since it's hard to put down!
Thank you to the author and to Booksirens for providing me with an ARC, all reviews left are optional and my own!

Where is book two?!
This book gave us an intro to three brothers and the girl they fall in love with. While they are related by blood, Eli, Seven and Atticus are bound by much more. Parents that loved them, and a need for revenge against the man that broke them. The spice was spicy. The banter was funny. I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought, it was a great time!
I really enjoyed the high stakes environment that was nicely combined with some down time. I am looking forward for future books to find out more about the guys and their history. Also, I love the dog and that the book started with the fact nothing happens to her!

This book had so many twists and turns! Short chapters, which I like because it makes the book feel quick. The characters were split 50/50 whether I liked them or not.

Cori is deeply insecure and has many reasons to blame for it. When her sister moves out, she is stuck moving in with her childhood best friend-turned boyfriend. He is condescending, distant and rude. Fortunately, she has his room mate to bond with, laugh with and grow with.
The banter between the main FMC and MMC is super cute, and at times heartbreaking. I am glad the author talks about mental health, the importance of therapy and of standing your ground. I can't wait to see what other couples form from this group of friends.
Read this if you like coffee, baseball and learning to love yourself!

This book was quick to get into, and I devoured it quick once I was able to sit down and read. I loved how the big bad was described! While the big twist was easy for me to spot, I really enjoyed watching the main characters slowly realize what was happening to them. There were some moments that truly shocked me and made my jump!

When Killer Queen Bella joins a cruise ship with the band Slasher, she's looking for more than just sun, relaxation and good times. She's looking for the reason why, behind every Slasher concert, a trail of bodies follow. Is it just bad luck, or it is it something more supernatural?
I've read the Mall Priest book one and It Came from the Pumpkin Patch, so I was familiar with some characters, but had chunks of time/events missing between this book and the author's previous work. However, this didn't detract at all from the story and, if anything, made me want to go back and read this missing books. They did a good job talking about past events and characters in a way that summed it up nicely without being so in-depth it would detract from people who had read the previous stories.
The story itself was in turns comedic and dark. At the midpoint, I had no idea what was going to happen and I love that in a horror book! The ending was fun and descriptive. I loved the 90s references sprinkled throughout.
Thank you to the authors for an eARC of the story! This did not influence my opinion in any way.
