This was such a sweet love story!

I went in expecting more of a fake love story, but what I found was two people who were already into each other but wouldn't make that first move for various reason. Noah is so patient and kind with Amira! I love how the author handled her MC's emotions and cultures.

The friendships also in this book are amazing! I love when a FMC has a great group supporting her! The spice was a nice touch - I love the one bed trope and the angst!

Thank you to the author and Love Notes PR for an ARC!

I was expecting a dark romance, filled to the brim with murder and blood, and spice. Instead, I found a heartwarming, sweet and darkly funny story of two people who are used to living on the edge of society. I loved watching Jake and Dodi fall in love. This had so many moments of chuckles and so many moments of tears. I loved all the side characters and how deeply they were fleshed out. I loved the murder podcast that was weaved through out. I am glad the author cleared up early the actual serial killer status of the main characters, though.

When a group of friends go out drinking one night, they end up partying in an abandoned prison.  The next day, Danny realizes he lost the ring his deceased father gave him. Him and Oliver go to look for and end up missing.  Can the rest of the gang find them while a tropical storm rages, or will they too become lost?

There was a lot of promise with this book! I really enjoyed them exploring the prison. I wish there was more build up to the big reveal.  The tropical storm was a great idea to have in the background, it really raised the stakes. I wish there was a little more action, but the author did a great job sprinkling hints through out the beginning chapters.  I would pick up this thriller again, it was a quick, fun read.

THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN.

The characters are fun and in a book filled with trauma, there are lots of funny moments. I love how Nate was just instantly in awe of Carina. From the very first moment he saw her, he was willing to do anything for her.  He is the most golden retriever serial killer I have ever read about.

I can't wait for the next books and was trying to spot the couples, I can't wait to see if I am right!

If you're looking for a cute, quick romance this is a good one to pick up. This one deals with accidental pregnancy, friends to lovers and HEA.

On the good: I loved the friendships and the groupings. I love the fact there is the next couple books set up with pairings starting in the background. It was a fluffy read, which felt nice after some heavier books. The character's did have some open and honest communications.

On the bad: the characters did feel a bit surface level, there wasn't much growth. The third act really threw me off because it was a huge change in characterization. The main FMC claimed to be super independent but I didn't see much evidence of that.

Thank you to the author for an ARC of this book. This review is left honestly and voluntarily. While it wasn't the biggest hit with me, don't be afraid of picking it up!

3/32 For the books of horror 2025 brawl read and this is going to be up there for sure.

I loved how the author wrote a story that was so easy to picture.  I could see this becoming a movie for sure.  It was a fast read, with lots of character development.  Each character had their quirks and it was super interesting to see the sisters develop as it moved along.

Be prepared to cry.

Quick, dark and gruesome. I had to put it down a few times due to the extreme nature - and that's saying a lot for 39 pages!  The idea of the novel was heartbreaking and could be true enough to be scary.  Thank you to the author for a copy! This review is left voluntarily and honestly.

"Love is in the everyday."

Both Dom and Lina give their all, every single day.  Dom, being a single parent and businessman. Lina, being an assistant principal who wears pretty much every hat possible.  When both are forced on a vacation to relax, can they overcome their overdoing tendencies and relax? Maybe even fall in love?

These characters were so funny and sweet (and spicy, Lina is a wild child), but at times I wanted to shake them so bad!  They both were so sweet and giving, but so quick to recede. I loved the inclusion of different cultures and families. I love seeing main characters who have people who love them and good support systems.
