Another book I feared I waited too long to read, but I honestly don’t think I would’ve been able to handle it years ago. This book absolutely deserves all of the hype it has gotten.
From the beginning, we are thrusted into a world ending bang ‼️. Set in a seismically unstable world called the Stillness, where apocalyptic events known as “Fifth Seasons” regularly wipe out civilizations. The story follows three women with powerful abilities called orogeny, which allow them to control the earth itself.
I guess, this is my first NKJ book🤔what a great start! The prose was sharp, emotional, and experimental in the best way possible. She weaves timelines and perspectives, including a bold and haunting second-person narrative—into a devastating and beautiful story of grief, survival, power, and systemic injustice. It’s as much about the earth breaking as it is about people being broken and trying to survive.
Though I was highly triggered and disturbed by some of the events, it was very hard to put it down. Please check the trigger warnings before starting this book! The worldbuilding was unmatched, the characters were unforgettable, and the plot is full of slow burn revelations that explode in the final chapters. This wasn’t just a book, it was an experience. If you’re looking for a brilliantly crafted fantasy that pushes the boundaries, pick this up!

A Love Letter To Kennedy Ryan and The Magic Of Real Stories in Fiction💜
When I say: Can’t Get Enough is not just a book…it’s a gift! Love, memory, friendship, and the raw beauty of life, woven together by my fav Kennedy Ryan. Every time I pick up one of her books, I know I’m not just stepping into a story, I’m stepping into a world built with compassion, intentionality, and the kind of deep, careful research that brings authenticity to every page.
The way she handles Alzheimer’s disease in this story is nothing short of breathtaking, delicate, unflinching, and deeply respectful. Watching Hendrix navigate her mother’s decline while still showing up, creating joy, and cultivating community was one of the most emotionally resonant parts of this book for me.
Then…there’s the romance😍Hendrix and Maverick — Maverick and Hendrix lol. I loved them so so much! Their bond is powerful, mature, and grounded in the kind of love that sees everything. The pain, the past, the hope, and the hard truths.
If you know Kennedy, you know this book goes beyond romance. It celebrates true friendship. It was great reading about the girls being together again. Hendrix, Yasmen, and Soledad are the kind of women you always want in your corner. This book was all about community, and it was a great refresher for me.
Kennedy Ryan, thank you. For writing books that matter. For crafting characters that reflect the richness and complexity of real lives. I’m endlessly grateful for your voice in this world.
Rating: 5/5✨

If you loved Seven Days In June, this book will pull you right back in. Tia delivers a heartfelt, layered coming of age story that explores mental health, identity, and the unique, quiet pressure of being a first daughter…the one who’s expected to hold everything together.
Audre’s voice is smart, vulnerable, and full of wit. While Bash? A total sweetheart. Funny, soft, and hiding wounds of his own. Their story is tender, but what really stood out was how refreshingly honest the book is about mental health and trauma…especially for young Black girls and boys. It gives them space to unravel, ask for help, and begin again.
A few things I didn’t like: the best friend’s POV felt like an unnecessary detour, and Eva (as much as I love her) was more complicated here. Loving but quietly controlling in ways that felt real, but tough to read. Yikes!
Oh, and Shane? Still fine. Obviously😍
A beautifully messy and empowering read.

Glad I finally got to read it! I’ve already began my journey on…
So I have been taking the necessary steps to achieving my goals. It was still nice to hear, and feel something in the moment. Got me excited for my journey again :)
