Every time I pick up one of her books, I know Iām not just stepping into a story, Iām stepping into a world built with compassion, intentionality, and the kind of deep, careful research that brings authenticity to every page.
The way she handles Alzheimerās disease in this story is nothing short of breathtaking, delicate, unflinching, and deeply respectful. Watching Hendrix navigate her motherās decline while still showing up, creating joy, and cultivating community was one of the most emotionally resonant parts of this book for me.
