I'm... not as impressed as I expected? since most of the stories were already familiar, it's really the writing/storytelling style I'm judging, and honestly I didn't find it that unique or interesting. I remember enjoying The Gospel of Loki more because Loki's POV was fun to read. Norse Mythology did have some really funny quotes, but overall I didn't really get that "extra" I was expecting.

I was hoping this would be a 5-star read, but it just wasn't. I expected it to be spookier and the romance part didn't really grab me, but the mystery part was nice.

I would be filling out adoption papers for Watson right now if it wasn't for the fact that she already has two very married vampire dads

ehhh. I'm actively annoyed by Ferret/Michael and I'm not as interested in the new characters as I expected. Relic & the plants are still my faves but they were barely in this one. learning more about Doctor/Professor was nice, but I'm not sure I really like the development. so all in all, this was the lowest book for me so far.

on one hand, this is very useful if you're lazy like me and want to avoid starving. on the other hand, some of these recipes are unappealing enough (to me) that they're almost enough motivation to learn to cook properly. this isn't the author's fault though, I guess you just need actual effort and/or money to make good food. who knew.

this book had so many storylines woven into each other. wow. it was also completely unexpected - there were certain things I was hoping for, but I didn't expect them to actually happen at all, but then they did?! and I liked the ending. I was conflicted about the staryk rules, because I love complicated and strange fae rules, but sometimes they were too complicated and kinda gave me a headache, and I only like being confused if I eventually /understand/ what's going on.
