I love mini griffins.
I was really touched by the ending this time. But if Iana and Thara don't get together in the next book, I'm going on a strike.
Graphic: Child abuse
There is a subplot where young girls (ages 13-16) are forced to pose for sexual photographs.

I'm in love with this world, and I love Maia's and Celehar's story equally. I love Celehar's work as the Witness for the dead and all the kinds of adventures and investigations it takes him on. I love how the different trails meet at the end. And Pel-Thenhior is so good.

I love Mary and their little family. That is the best part of this book.
They should have taken Timothy home though :(

Still a big fan of this, I'm actually raising my rating to 5 stars. I love Anya's character development - she was bullied as a kid for being fat and for being an immigrant, so she developed some pretty unkind coping mechanisms, but she makes progress with them in this book. I also love how it starts out as a nice friendly ghost story, then the red flags pop up gradually.
The second half of this file is a scene from Feed, which was a bit disappointing - I expected the story itself to be longer. As a story, it was okay. Definitely a fucked up scenario, but doesn't really go anywhere, you know?
