Conflicted. Overall I liked the series, but I wasn't a big fan of this one, especially the later parts and the finale. Tayet and Buri were both great, though, and I like that Jon is less of an asshole as a friend than as a lover.

I received an ARC through NetGalley and this is my honest review.

A story as chaotic as its cover. (Seriously, what is that cover? It attracted me immediately.) It's about vampires, but also about a married couple gaining a third. Or something.

Rebekah and Hugh have been together for centuries, but on a cruise full of gay orgies, they meet a nonbinary influencer called Heaven, who gets between them. There is some interesting worldbuilding - Rebekah and Hugh are vampires who feed on emotions instead of blood, and I won't spoil what Heaven is, but surely not human.

It's dramatic and comedic at once. The commercialized queer activities are funny in a cringe way. Also there's a war in the background??

Overall a good read, definitely decadent and queer and a bit messy.

A long overdue read. Very cozy and full of sunshine, although I cried seriously at the end.

The ending was interesting and a bit funny, but I was bored and found the long sentences very hard to read. Not for me.

Easily as good as Elatsoe. There's even more focus on the Lipan Apache community and Shane's worry that they will disappear, but the book is still about family and love and helping people. Also ghost animals.

There's bits of genuinely good advice and a thorough explanation of how energy in cells works, but sometimes it really goes into black and white thinking. Like, you can't even have a single bite of these very common foods ever, because they are POISON and DRUGS that will make you die.  I think banning entire common food groups is only going to lead to frustration and guilt.

It is also very American-centric, with both statistics and brands or examples, which is just a thing to note if you're reading this in Europe. Some of the advice (especially food) is also just not realistic to a lot of people because of cost or availability.

Either way, I'll take away some parts and let go of the rest.

A new favorite. Enemies to lovers, exciting plot, queer normative world with several trans characters and pronouns, soul bonding with magical animals! And some twists at the end, some of which made me really sad. (Poor Komi.) I hope I can get the sequel soon.

Short but very informative book about the history of the rainbow flag, with beautiful illustrations. I knew about Gilbert Baker and the two extra stripes, but I didn't know Harvey Milk much.

Maya is an ex-thief who wants to get away from that life, but instead she's put in a situation where she has to choose between saving her friend's species or her own. A story of space exploration with heists, with interesting alien worldbuilding, no romance, but lots of friendships. There's also food for thought about the ethics of interacting with foreign cultures.
I really liked the main cast of characters and there's definitely a found family vibe.

Szép, izgalmas mesék. Különösen érdekes, hogy így az egész sorozat elolvasása után látszik, mennyi hasonló mese van aminek majdnem ugyanaz a szerkezete, de mégis mások a részletei vagy akár a vége is.
