I have read a lot of so called 'seminal' works that left me cold but this one really spoke to me. I felt - perhaps worryingly - such an affinity with Esther. Oddly it reassured me.

Not normally a fan of early twentieth century fem texts (the shame!) but this one really resounded with me for some reason (alarming as I just got married myself!!) really liked it though

I loved this book, am now going to buy the other two by Donna Tartt.

I read this book for my degree. It is so ridiculously silly it's brilliant.
