Very cute comic. I'm always a sucker for selkies.

A fun version of your FNSM, but I honestly read this hoping for more of the Across the Spiderverse Hobie character. Alas, not as cool. This seemed a little shallow maybe even childish? Is there a way to make it even MORE punk and anti-facist?? Once again, I'm here for backstories, am disappointed, but stick around for the art.

If you're looking for a graphic novel to help you understand what someone who has depression and anxiety is going through, or you have it yourself and need an artist's POV of their experience with it, I present to you this graphic novel!

I have realized I have a hard time with high fantasy books, especially these days when I'm older and can't read stuff in a few sittings. Also, it really helps when there's dragons to look forward to :(
Is it a good book? Sure! It just wasn't for me. Not when I was introduced to this author with her comedic sci-fi Murderbot. Very different! Which isn't bad, but not what I wanted. I read around and found out, I guess.

A cute, YA queer romance with mer-people that was similar enough to the movie Splash, they made jokes about it!
Sean was a little cringy at first and going overboard with his rom-com movie directing obsession, but luckily he calmed down a bit. Also, I am no longer a teenager so that was probably just adult me cringing. Maybe the youths won't find it as obnoxious as I did?

Okay, I'm hooked! The story is great, a diverse and interesting cast of characters and the art is amazing! Straight on to Volume 2 please!

I think I gotta own this series for myself, it's so good!

A quick read and a great graphic novel for tweens and teens that need to read more diverse books!

A short graphic novel that was very sad as a public high school girl from an evangelical church learns she's gay.

A very sweet book about one man, Christian Cooper, who will make you want to go out and bird RIGHT NOW! RIGHT AWAY! Ah, but are you cis het? Are you white? Well then get on out there, nothing is stopping you from grabbing your binoculars and ambling about looking for birds! Are you Black or Hispanic? Queer? Unfortunately the world is not going to be quite as friendly to you as it will be to those white birders. Read on to learn about Christian as he grew up a nerd (worked for Marvel comics?! Created the Starfleet Academy comics?! Helped bring about the first gay male character (Northstar) in a Marvel comic?! A very iconic nerd!) as well as a passion for birding (which he fostered at a very young age, but you might have heard about him around 2021 when a viral video of a very horrible, racist woman confronted him in Central Park while he was birding one morning).
I don't often do biographies but this one was fantastic and wonderful to hear all about his life experiences!
