Oh thank goodness I made it through this book. By the middle of it I was just speed-reading to get it over with. It's not BAD, but it's just...blah. The characters are blah, the romance is really just kinda slapped on, the mystery is blah and easy to figure out and I just sort of lost interest. Definitely stick with the Every Breath series by Marney if you want a good Sherlockian remake for teens!

Are you part of a fandom? Is your fandom based off a television show? If you saw the star of the show, would you be disappointed when they turned out to be human and nothing like the character you were used to seeing them as? Enter Cash Carter who is not the nerdy scientist Dr Bumfuzzle from the hit show WizKids (think if you met Matt Smith, the 11th Doctor from Doctor Who, a lot like that). A group of teens, a movie star from their favorite show, a road trip, and a whole lotta figuring out who they really are and who they really want to be. The characters are great and this is a good read for teens around the same age, about to graduate high school, that are afraid to be who they really are, even around friends.

SpoilerWas anyone else slightly reminded of the book Going Bovine?

I feel bad that it took so long to read this, because it really gets suspenseful towards the end. The stakes are high for Mycroft and Watts! And again, their relationship is tastefully done. No complaints other than it was a little slow going at first, but that just may have been my life becoming busy. Another great book in the Every series!
