I found the way that the characters in this book are constantly at the whims of something larger, impersonal, too vast to fully comprehend, engaging and relevant. Looking forward to reading more about The Culture.
The premise of this book is really interesting and there are aspects of it that I'm enjoying but for one reason or another it's just not grabbing me. Might try it again at some point - I think this is just not what I want to read right now as opposed to not what I want to read at all.
Graphic: Gore
Minor: Antisemitism
I'm not usually a romance reader, wanted to give this a try but it was just immediately a huge no from me
