Hunt for the Skinwalker: Science Confronts the Unexplained at a Remote Ranch in Utah
Colm A. Kelleher, George Knapp
medium-paced
This was a pretty good book that focused on finding yourself outside of others. I really enjoyed all the side characters differing personalities but I found the MC really annoying. I don’t think she was written to be unlikeable but time after time it was just poor choices. Gave me more conservative Queenie vibes. The plot itself was pretty predictable but it was interesting enough to finish.

Overall I really enjoyed this story. The book tied together the untold horrors of the past with the apathy to those horrors in the present. There was a warning against running from the past and how we must honor the sacrifices and struggles of those who came before us. It showed how we run from a part of ourselves when we try to run from the past no matter how recent or distant it is. The main character was relatable and made although the choices she made at times were frustrating, it never seemed too nonsensical with the story. As the tension builds, the horrors of centuries ago and current times seem less distinguishable.
