I read about a third and just was not connecting to the main characters not to mention all the side characters. Maybe if someone had told me going in that this was a cozy story, I could have accepted the slice of life feel.

Solid urban fantasy. Looking forward to more witchery and the story continues.

It’s good epic fantasy. Again, I like how good Tali is in a fight but the plot just seemed move rather slowly. I’m still hopeful for the next book and I will continue.

Good urban fantasy, as ever. Was hoping for a story with a witch and I’m enjoying this series so far.

I enjoyed the book but the relationship between Tali and Rai was frustrating. Could have done with a bit less saying “I am the Queen” and a bit more showing of it in the plot as well. I enjoyed Tali as a character but wish she was more savvy, though I appreciated how much of a badass she is. Even so, I enjoyed the first book enough to continue with the trilogy.

Watched the TV show Silo and then had to read the book to find out what happens next. Solid post apocalyptic sci-fi.

Another excellent stand alone from ML Wang. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one, though it was dark.

Very much enjoyed reading this book. The plot, character development and magical library were all fab. The twist was fantastic. I will be thinking about this book for a while. Can’t wait for the next two!

A magical story about a magical library. I enjoyed the plot, the pacing, the characters and the magic. The POVs were woven together very well and I very much enjoyed how each POV informed the other ones. Very much loved reading this book.
