I started out loving this book. The premise is excellent. I too would love to be a character in my favorite book series. I also would not know most of the details of a book I have actually read.

The “twist” seemed quite well set up, so maybe it wasn’t a twist after all, just a slightly plot blind MC. I was a little disappointed that the end happened basically the way I thought it would.

I’m struggling with the rating on this one because I both enjoyed it and am a bit let down by the end at the same time, even though that’s what I wanted to happen. It’s confusing.

There is a book two in the works. I might read it if the cover is equally as awesome as this one.

This is my first John Green and I really enjoyed the authorial voice. As to the book itself, I feel both depressed and hopeful. Definitely will be recommending this book.

I think I’m struggling to connect with this series because I am a character reader and this feels more plot focused. However, I am enjoying it enough to continue with the series to see what happens to Aethan.

This book was entertaining but just felt like it could have gone harder. The romance relied heavily on classic tropes and wasn’t super compelling. My friend does not read romance or romantasy that often and enjoyed it much more. Rating it a three is probably too harsh but I don’t want the algorithm to give me similar recs lol

Love, love Dark Lord Davi. This was such a fun duology. The humor, pop culture references and general snark hit just right. Davi would get along with Samantha from DCC and Vigga from The Devils. And I would love to read that book

This series is very highly recommended by several people who share my taste in books. So it’s frustrating that I haven’t been able to connect to the characters yet and we are on book three. I’ve heard this is where it starts getting really good and the cliffhanger is enticing, so I will continue reading

I would give this book more stars if I could. It is a triumph. Vigga, snacks and a philosophical discussion of religion...this is now my second favourite book. Joe adding purple plumes, St Natalia’s Flame, a bookwyrm and an administrative triumph…I haven’t connected with a book like this since Gideon the Ninth.

Really enjoying this fantasy inspired Sherlock Holmes. Ana is delightful and Din plays a good Watson to complement her. Happy to see the cover called it An Ana and Din mystery, so we should be getting more.
