This really opened my eyes to a lot and that I need to rest more.

Favorite book this year. Definitely reminded me of queenie in that it’s a black British coming of age but they also have far different stories. 10/10. Can’t wait to read more of Jess’s work.
lighthearted fast-paced

I saw this book at a museum bookstore in 2019 and thought the title looked interesting.

I’m mad it took me 4 years to pick this book up. It’s excellent. I loved the short stories. I laughed, I felt validated. It was just so great 10/10. I wish I could read 3 more.

This is a great primer novel if you haven’t read extensively on trauma. But for me it’s a little too elementary

I like many who will read this in the next 12 months read this because I saw American fiction. As they say, the book is always better.

I really enjoyed how layered and nuanced the book is. Excellent work.

I had suspected I had autism for a couple years now but was recently diagnosed with it. (Self diagnosed full disclosure). This book was well researched, well organized and also included prompts which I found helpful to journal to. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about autism;
