There's a part of me that wants to give this five stars but there's another part of me that thinks that 4.5 is a fair rating. I had such a wonderful time reading this book. It was fast-paced and full of quirky moments and funny banter, but also full of oddly horrifying moments and scenes. I finished the book and was really happy with what I'd read but there is something about the book that isn't sitting right with me, and it's frustrating because I can't put my finger on it! I'm sure after some time sitting with it, I'll figure it out.
Either way, this was wildly entertaining and a great, quick read! I look forward to reading more by T. Kingfisher!

Even better the second time. Disturbing, sapphic, and weird nature stuff. A great YA horror.
