First half of the book frustrated me - but holy heck the last end of the book...my heart, my emotions?! If anyone needs me I'll be staring blankly at the wall for the next few business days lol.
This review is not meant to be mean in any away because i truly feel like this story has a lot of potential, but was just rushed. There were also inconsistencies - for example, Azogg and Snow spoke to each other fine the first time they meet, and then they say eachothers names caveman style (touching their chest saying just their name).
I hope the author tries again at this book and has more editors to help because like I said it has potential, it was almost along the lines of a Ice Planet Barbarian story, it just needs some TLC.

Some spoilers ahead!
You were warned lol-
So to be brutally honest I was kind of bored a few times with all the singing, I was like Suzanne are you trying to get a musical?! But then in a classic Collins fashion every domino started to fall into place and I had my jaw unhinged realizing why Snow hated Katniss so much, he was seeing Lucy Gray in EVERYTHING and not just in Katniss, but Peeta too! I wonder if Lucy Gray told little Maud to milk the goat for cheese like Katniss did... speaking of Maud I think that's why she gave Katniss the Mockingjay pin! The Mockingjay reminder her of Lucy Gray and she could see Lucy in Katniss.
I loved how Suzanne wrote the girls so similarly and yet they stayed so unique and different from one another - and watching Snow fall, not on top lol, but right into being the bad guy...everything makes so much sense!

This was a great take on another Greek legend - I wish there had been more to the story, but honestly in such a short story it held a lot of deep meaning.
I was surprised by how short lived the portion of the book with the ACOTAR charecters were and I was SO angry with Bryce for opening that coffin, like, WHY?! And when she stole from AZ, and I clearly get it we need to separate ACOTAR from CC they do not know one another and have 0 trust but it still hurt!
