This book only has about three colors in it, but it is gorgeous. This is definitely a collectible item, with the words of the African American national anthem set to these really striking images. It also provides some history about the song, as well as full sheet music for it in the back. A must-have for kids' shelves!
Whew! This sucked me all the way in and held me there throughout the entire story. Amazing
Binge read a bunch, or only a few at a time; these stories will make you smile and laugh and cry.
As usual, there's about 35986 things going on at once, which all come together in the twistiest of mysteries.
Not quite what I thought it was going to be, but still good. I took a lot away from her points.
Broad range of poems on a variety of topics. Thought-provoking.
Soooo engrossing and so detailed. This book details a specific time point in French history, the affair of the poisons, providing insight into the historical event itself, as well as the time in which it happened. So much detail, without seeming ultra-dense. And this story is riveting: definitely one of those "truth is stranger than fiction" recounts.
Very interesting book about the way that our friends shape and influence every aspect of our lives, in sometimes unexpected ways
