A lovely children's book about little Cora who gets to make pancit with her mama for the first time. There's even a pancit recipe at the back!
Okay read. It does get a bit redundant at times. Lucas definitely has clear ideas on how women should approach dating, and she's very consistent in her responses. This book could do with a good editor/proofreader though, it has a ton of typos.
Really enjoyed this collection of essays on the complexities of mother child relationships, in all their forms
First of all, this was hilarious. Secondly, I liked this version of the "I did a thing for a designated amount of time" memoir where Jessica Pan tries to change her life by tackling some of her social anxiety and shyness. Even if you don't relate to her personally (for me, I'm an introvert, but I'm not shy and don't have social anxiety) her methodology and the sheer amount of research that she's done in her approach will draw you in. Pan uses her experience to teach us about Deep Talk, and storytelling, and overcoming stage fright, and making the most of each encounter with others to combat loneliness and live life to the fullest. And she is SO FUNNY.
This was awesome! A great kids book with lots of little nuggets for adults.
