The spelling errors are still there and that's bothersome for an avid reader, like me. I didn't get any sexual chemistry from Javier and Nova, so I'm not sure why that story was even told. Wish we could've seen more between Jabari and Rue, as their frustrations with Natori and Idir were wayyy more probable and belivable than Nate and Miranda.
Actual rating: 3.5 stars.
• The Nate-Jabari connection is weak.
• I hate the way things ended with Rhea and Adrian, but I'm not so sold on their story that I want to read more. Would've preferred to learn about them alongside Natori and Idir instead of Nova and Javier, or even Monte and Annette because that was ridiculous.

LaKeisha does a good job at getting you to love the characters you should, while making sure you hate the characters you should hate. Jabari has got to be one of the most villainous male characters I've ever read...he ranks right up there with Jasper from Ladii Nesha's Finally Famous.
I Left a Lame N*gga for a Millionaire Boss is a quick read - something I was able to get through in just a couple of hours.
Why this rating?:
- I took stars off because the title really doesn't match the book...what the title says, technically doesn't happen in this book at all.
- I really prefer standalone books and this book was short enough that there was no need for a sequel, in my opinion.
- There were spelling errors.

Readers arrive smack dab in the middle of an intense story that I wish author Mya had explored.
I am not invested enough in the remaining Barrett brothers to read the rest of the books in the series, but if you're not into novellas, then I recommend skipping it. Otherwise, these are lighthearted stories you can finish in a day or so. It holds your attention for the most part, I found myself skipping some parts about Logan's love for Justice and vice versa because it was just soooo underdeveloped.
