i read this in 2 hours and couldnt put it down it's just as good as everyone as it is omfg also the moments about michael's ethnicity was so so relatable for me im part greek just like him and half filipino and the othering feeling he experiences of not being enough for either side just really rang true to me

3.5/5: i enjoyed this but it just didn't hit the same as late to the party :( i was just kinda bored the whole time & something felt missing. minor spoilers here but i did really like how this book emphasized growing into yourself and that even if you want to take a relationship forward you need to be at peace with the past and not have anything holding you back. tbh as i write this i know that this is going to be really forgettable so this might get lowered to a 3 star

the editor did such a good job compiling these stories the flow between them from the more nature horror to sci-fi to grotesque was really well done

tbh i really enjoyed this but the overwhelming antisemitism was very very gross

i wanted to like this more but the audiobook narrator kinda ruined it for me the way she narrated karina made her sound so unlikable and snotty to the point it felt like a chore to listen to and imagine how karina would sound if i were physically reading this. i also thought ace was a boring love interest and i don't see how any of their chemistry worked in the first place

i did like the anxiety rep and karina's relationship with her brother
