I never really like the beginning of these books but the dialogue in this felt especially unchild-like. I loved the middle and the world we were in but i felt underwhelmed and disappointed by the ending :(
wow i loved this the writing was incredible and the only reason it's not 5 stars is bc i was kinda confused a lot of the time but other than that amazing
im so glad this is over i could not stand having to listen to infuriatingly boring characters and the incessant ableism and caricature of asian people any longer. i couldn't tell the difference between anyone except who their husbands/children were and the weird parts going back to a woman in the past was so unnecessary and added absolutely nothing to this book. also someone said this in their review but why someone being a stay-at-home mom metaphorically a ten year nap?? ive heard good things about this author's other books but for now im hesitantly staying away
