im so glad this is over i could not stand having to listen to infuriatingly boring characters and the incessant ableism and caricature of asian people any longer. i couldn't tell the difference between anyone except who their husbands/children were and the weird parts going back to a woman in the past was so unnecessary and added absolutely nothing to this book. also someone said this in their review but why someone being a stay-at-home mom metaphorically a ten year nap?? ive heard good things about this author's other books but for now im hesitantly staying away
