Thanks so much to Netgalley for providing me an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book! I kept putting off starting it for some reason. I assumed it was going to be kind of cheezy but that was not the case. The mythology aspect was very interesting as well as the forms of magic.

I liked Lira and Reyker's characters immensely and while the change in POV is a little jarring at first because of the change in narrative style, I quickly got used it. I got Celtic and Viking vibes from the setting (which I loved) and it had my favorite trope-enemies to lovers.

I will definitely be reading a sequel and rate this as more of a 4.25 star read!

Just as good re-reading!

Thank you to Netgalley and Edelweiss for providing an e-arc in exchange for an honest review!

This was a HEAVY read. Every step of the way, Raya broke my heart. She's a teen in middle of nowhere, conservative, religious Texas, she's gay, and loves her best friend Sarah. She's been hiding who she truly is her whole life and when the truth comes to light, she is "disappeared."

I was constantly uncomfortable while reading this, whether it was because of the awful things the supposed Christians said to her or the "treatment" she had to endure so she could "fixed." This book is not for the faint of heart but is one everybody should read.

I loved this! I was skeptical going in since I don't consider myself to be a huge Alice in Wonderland fan but this was great!

"Your eyes are wide open, but you see nothing." 4.5 stars!

This was sooooo good! I couldn't put it down. Garner County is very reminiscent of Salem or some other sort of Puritan village. Women have no rights and are at the mercy of the men in the village except during the Grace Year.

The ending was tied up a little too neatly but I would love to have a sequel/companion book.

I finished this in a few hours and it was such a great read! I've always found the Romanov family and Russian Revolution to be extremely interesting. The story includes a lot of details related to the Revolution without getting too bogged down in it and gives a glimpse into a deeply flawed system of government that was doomed to fail from the beginning. The little bit of magic in the story was an excellent addition.

4.5 stars!

My favorite thing about this book was that there were even more dragons! Before She Ignites was a pretty dragon light but they were more prominent in As She Ascends and even more so in When She Reigns. I enjoyed this series immensely and found each book to be better than the last. The Silent Code fascinated me throughout and Aaru is one of my favorite characters now.

Mira continues to grow as she discovers the purpose for her God-gift and the lies she was raised to believe are stripped away. She's come so far since Before She Ignites and never gives up on her beloved dragons.

This final book was everything I'd hoped for and more.
