Well...

Fuck me I loved this. You somehow convinced me to like both couples!...I'm that annoying reviewer telling people to stop putting romances in. BUT DAMNNNNNN I LOVE THESE COUPLES!
I just sort of realized that we got to the end of the book and most of the world still doesn't have any explanation lol so I definitely need to read the sequel!
Rep: f/f romance

omg I love this series so damn much and the audiobooks are so amazing. They actually use the narration to elevate the book. I continuously burst out laughing.
This was so much fun! It was kinda dark and murder-y for a middle grade but that made it different from a lot of other middle grades. The mystery even kept me guessing and I freaking loved the "you make family" sentiment of the cast. I can't believe I got the whole series on Book Outlet for under $10 CAD! So freaking worth it!
I didn't hate this but it just didn't do anything for me as a story. The writing was fine but I was just expecting it to feel more of a fantasy with vampires but the setting just made me think of New York City for some reason and then I just thought urban fantasy which I don't generally enjoy. I don't think I'm the target audience which is too bad because I love that cover.
I...wanted to like this more than I did. I just couldn't connected to anything or anyone on the book!
A fantasy romance with majority female cast that has like NO ROMANCE cause they're busy saving the damn kingdom while talking to a lion?! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas bitch!
I freaking loved the whole cast but especially our main character. First has an ability to write female mom characters that are empathetic and strong and likable *chefs kiss* also a big fan of that "make your family when your blood family is shit"

ohhhhhhh this is what my historical fiction addiction needed to be curbed. This will absolutely bore some readers but I LOVEEEEEEEEEED it.
