Omg I think in becoming trash for romances! WHAT IS HAPPENING?! What has Helen Hoang done to me?!
Well it wasn't as dark as I was expecting/hoping it to be but that's fine. I freaking LOVED these characters and the romance was so cute! The pacing is really strong and consistent. The magic aspects was REALLY cool and probably my favourite thing. I find a lot of fantasy standalone a fall flat but this one did not so I'll have to checkout the author's previous work.

oph I wanted to like this. Support Canadian authors but wow did I not like anyone or anything.

awwww this was cute and nothing too deep. A conflict but it wasn't excessive or drawn out. It was creative and fun but relatable and solved in a satisfying way

Totally worth the wait. This is another astoundingly good conclusion of a series. The cast is magnificent. The wrap up was kinda brutal (i.e. no character was safe) but MAN did it have some insanely important and timely messages.
This was a really fun story but the illustrations absolutely stole the show for me.

I had such high hopes for this and it just fell...quite flat. Something just wasn't connecting to me despite my love of Ireland, queer rep, witches, and witch hunters. I thought it was just my current mood but I am hearing a lot of the same thing from other readers.
