Im such a sucker for soft stories like this. A little bit of the miscommunication trope but fixed near immediately and thoroughly, plus the characters are mature and manage to keep rational. Very much enjoyed this too!

A lot better than I thought itd be! the characters are fun, it feels a lot more emotionally grounded than other bls, and of course the art is consistently gorgeous.

I have no idea how to describe the experience of reading this. Will absolutely be thinking about it for a while

Can't say much about it (apart from that I think much has changed since it's publication) but I nearly pissed myself laughing when the author said there's no homosexual otakus
hopeful lighthearted medium-paced

I just love this series so much i had to buy it here. Learned a lot of vocab through it too! I absolutely will buy myself the rest of the series before i leave. For educational purposes, of course...

This is an odious book with an odious main character. I absolutely despised reading this, and yet there was something that kept me there until the end. I think it was like watching someone you utterly despise die in a car crash - you just can't look away, and even if you feel a little sad or guilty, there's some kind of twisted pleasure in it. The ending I felt was tasteless, though. I'm not American and I honestly don't have any connection to
9/11 but dear god it just felt wrong, somehow, to have that. Like some kind of attempt at a shocker ending, but it just fell flat.

There was something about this that I couldn't click with. It wasn't the setting, or the lore, and I'm not sure whether it was the characters but I think it mightve been. There wasn't much kindness or friendship here - which isn't necessary for a story, but I think it just made it harder for me personally to connect with anyone in it. Very intriguing world though, and I wish I could push though to the end but it's just too much for me right now.

So much fun to read! very atmospheric. the plot and premise are intriguing, and the characters are typical for a children's book but not to a bothersome extent.

there's some nuggets of wisdom in here. i probably shouldn't have read this without knowing rilke's other works, though, but it was still an interesting read.

A lovely atmospheric dive back into alagaesia. This really helped me relax on nights I felt too stressed to sleep
