Equal parts insightful, emotional, and reflective wrapped up in a nice chick lit package.

This book took me a long time to get through. I actually put it down for about a month before picking it back up to finish. Regardless, I think it's a 4 star read. Multiple character perspectives are hard to write, it's even harder to entwine the storylines seamlessly.

I'm a sucker for short stories, especially melancholy ones. It's hard to choose, but I think "A Whiter Shade of Pale" is probably my favorite. Perhaps because I was reading it on a long drive, just as the main character started his own long drive. I wished "Midnight in Starshine" was longer. I wasn't ready to leave the motel, even if it was for the best.

Bob has an impeccable talent of writing a distinct voice for his narrators. I'm gonna think about Anna, all the Annas, for weeks to come.

The experience is only sweetened by author's notes and playlists accompanying each story.
