As I dip my toes into Uhtred's world I find myself wanting to instead dive deep and consume the history behind this story. With descriptions that made me feel as if I was traveling alongside him on Wind-Viper, through the country, fighting in shield wall, Bernard Cornwell draws the reader into a beautiful story with immense possibilities.

I truly can't wait to continue in this series as well as learning more about a place in history that I have yet to really understand.
