I wanted to love this so much. The Historian was one of my favorite reads in 2021. Unfortunately, this was just unbelievably boring. I found myself dozing off within 5 minutes of listening to the audiobook. I don't even think physically reading this one would make it easier.

I might try to come back to it again but for now I have no interest in continuing.

This was such a great read. It's not often that I enjoy reading the book version after having seen the T.V. or film adaptation, but this was everything that I love about high fantasy. I'm excited to read through the rest of the series and see it played out on screen after as more seasons are released.

Also, I love Dandelion just as much as I was expecting to.

I can't handle how cute this is! Oseman was able to perfectly recreate the struggle between young love, confusion about identity, and just life in highschool. It took me straight back to my own experiences in such a confusing time of life but in a way that made me happy and not miserable 😅

Dalglish is a new author to me and I happened to pick this up on a whim while at the bookstore and I'm so happy I did! I found the world Dalglish created to be unique and both fun and dark. Devin is a wonderful character and Puffy...well come on, is there really anything bad that can be said about this adorable guy? The story kept me interested and waiting for the next shoe to drop, and while multiple POVs aren't normally my thing, Dalglish made it enjoyable to experience the world and the events through different eyes. I'm looking forward to the next in the series and will have to make a trip to the bookstore again here soon for this!
