Such a fun book and an adventure I was proud to go along on!
Blythe has grown up missing her Grandmother Nomi because of how much fun she was. She drew a treasure map when she was six and received it with instructions on her 30th birthday to find the place and bury her Grandmother's ashes.
Armed with the ashes and the map, Blythe goes to the island of Vinland where "pirates" and "Vikings" search for other treasures. There Blythe meets the wonderful (if both a little lost) Flynn and his niece Savannah. They help her in the quest to unravel her Grandmother's clues and they all might help each other heal their souls.
I loved all 3 characters. They all had to deal with tragedies but I felt they got through them best together. I loved the Island setting and the treasure clues.

I am officially a Michael Bradley fan after only this second read (of mine) by him!
This was a fast paced mystery of this small town where a serial killer is terrorizing the citizens. We have 2 people investigating that are a little odd but it works. We have Brian, a journalist for a small newspaper and Candice, a Pastor with a penchant for kleptomania.
The author has a way of writing that just kept me turning pages and I finished this in one day.
I had my mind set on one person as being the killer but I was way off base! I was (and shouldn't have been) at who it was because there were little clues trailed all along the story. It was such a good, creepy ending!

A fantasy world where every year, girls from around the kingdom where Cinderella lived and died 200 years ago are summoned to the palace to be "chosen" to a life where they are subject to the men (and the abuse and loss of everything) they marry.
But this story is about Sophia who doesn't want to marry any man (she's in love with her friend Erin)
who ends up fleeing and running into a descendant of Cinderella, Constance. They are going to find a way to kill the king and change the way their lives are ruled. She will come to find the King weilds a dark magic.
I like the adventurous and courageous souls of both Constance and Sophia. I liked the quest to overthrow this horrible patriarchy they are subject to.

I was told this book would make me cry... It in fact made me angry and sad and hurt. What did make me cry is the author's note at the end. This story came in part from the real life of her mother and father's relationship.
I wanted more Atlas/Lily and less Ryle/Lily. Atlas was so amazing! Ryle could be until the first abuse incident and then I just lost all respect for him.
Yes this book deals with domestic abuse that you see on the page between Ryle and Lily.
I can't pretend to know what it's like to be in a situation of abuse like that. It's hard to feel a lot of sympathy for someone who stays in that situation but once again.... I don't know what it's like. I can imagine it's hard because they do love each other.
In the end, I'm glad that she did what she did.

I liked this book well enough. It's a romance where both parties have viewed to never fall in love so..... You know what will happen.
I appreciated Beatrice's sound mind. She was a great advocate for women's rights that didn't change once she entered into her marriage of convenience with the Duke. She was always a voice of reason to Will.
William has sworn off love after he felt his mother abandoned him and his brothers. But the story unfolds as to why she couldn't see her sons after leaving. But this skewed his perception of what love could be. He was a bit stubborn in actually admitting to himself that he loves her and it was a bit annoying but once he got there.... He declared it in a sweet way.

This is my first book by the author and I really liked it. This is a group of four women who have been trained as assassins. There are two timelines- brief snippets of being recruited and trained and then when they reached their retirement age around 60. They are given a cruise to celebrate and things happen that make them realize that a price is on their head from someone in the company that they have worked for.
Each of the four women are so fun. Yes they have been trained as assassins but they are also so very clever in their own rights. It is just non-stop action from beginning to end and I highly enjoyed it.

Oh what a beautiful and tragic book!
Sara is a young mother who flees to Memphis with her young infant, Lebanon, in tow to Mama Sugar's boarding house. There are allusions to who the father is and if you read Saving Ruby King, you know who.
Sara is a hard worker but she's a mother who often lets others help with her baby. She feels detached from him though she never neglects him. She falls in love with a teacher at the elementary school and things are bliss for awhile..... Until tragedy strikes.
I loved Sara as a character. I feel she had post-partum depression though this probably wasn't widely known in this era (I'm not sure). I felt for her and all the stuff she went through. The ending had me in tears and I don't really understand the motivation but it also felt a bit open-ended.

Wow, just wow! What a thrilling debut from Bradeigh!
2 estranged sisters, Lillian and Rosie, go out to dinner one snowy night because Rosie has something important to tell Lily. Then there's an accident which leaves Rosie critically injured and unable to communicate.
It's up to Lily to try and put pieces together of what was going on with Rosie.
I love the fact that the author works in the medical field this subject is on and so she is able to really bring the realness to this story. There is also domestic abuse which is hard to read about in Rosie's online journal. I was so engaged in trying to figure out, with our MC, what was going on and it was a fantastic journey to get there. I was so surprised at the twist and turns that kept me reading until that conclusion!
Great book if you love psychological thrillers. All opinions are my own.

This was a haunting and terrifying yet beautiful book! Very Gothic feel. I just felt the darkness around me as I read.
Violeta does what she can to help her brother Arien try to control his dark, shadow power but when they are caught by the Lord (known as the Monster of Lakesedge) Rowan.... They are whisked away to his dark house on the shores of a darkened lake where he's rumored to have killed his whole family.
But Rowan needs them. He needs Arien's shadow power to help unbind him from the curse of the lake. But they will learn that all things come at a very dear price.
I said before, this was a book that I felt like I was surrounded by darkness while reading. It kept me turning pages with some very nice twists. I loved that Leta finds Rowan to not be the monster everyone says he is. She gets him to bare his secrets to get and they draw close. I liked the little slow burn romance sparking between them. I can't wait to see where book 2 takes us.....I need to know what's going on after that cliffhanger!

I really liked this conclusion to this fun, fast paced caper trilogy!
This time, Ania is working alone to try and catch her father, the Leopard at an Oscars awards party. She didn't expect to run into Jerome, her one time lover, again but she does.
I liked the ending. I won't say anything that might spoil it but it wrapped up nicely and gave our characters great closure, I thought.
Don't miss your chance to read this series for a thrilling good time!
