Unfortunately, this is probably my last favorite of the Clayborn novels that I've read. It wasn't bad but it wasn't on par with Love Lettering or Love At Last to me.
We have Georgie who has lost her job that she was good at but didn't really make her feel fulfilled. She runs into Levi, the brother of her childhood crush Evan, who also happens to be staying at her parents while his house gets fixed.
They grow close as Georgie fulfills childhood dreams as much as she can. But Levi has his own demons in this town and it's hard for him sometimes.
There are a lot of thoughts that aren't spoken aloud so it makes the book go a bit slow. I think I enjoyed the friendship between Georgie and Bel more than the romantic one. It was also a bit more "spicy" than I remember in any of her others.

Perfect conclusion to these siblings I have grown to love. This is Lucas's story.
Lucas had been dealt such a rough hand. Sent to juvie, has a suicide attempt, and runs from his family and their vast bad circumstances. Now he's living in a place out in the middle of nowhere, always looking over his shoulder and afraid of cops catching up to him. Lucas is a broken man, but he's just misguided.
Shiloh, a young girl of 15, comes into his life and he sees his younger self in her and wants to help her with her situation. He defends her from guys who want to hurt her. He starts to grow a soft spot for her but when he again meets his sisters, things take a turn for the worse.
While I obviously felt sorry for Lucas, I also kind of admired him. While he has his struggles and doesn't always make the right choice right away, he's got a good heart. He feels that he just lets everyone in his life down but it stems from how he was treated growing up.
I'm going to miss these siblings but I was so glad I got to read their stories.

Brandy had gone through a terrible ordeal by a man who swore he loved her. Her best friend convinced her it was assault. She also helps Brandy put together an ad..... With a test to find a kind, honest, compatible man to have as a boyfriend. Her cat accidentally posts it 😹.
Junpei needs a date to his work Christmas party. He answers Brandy's ad and they meet. He's a very good man and he's a doctor who cares for children so I just fell in love with him.
They are 91% compatible according to the test so there isn't a lot of awkwardness and they seem to almost be too perfect for each other and not have much conflict. Most conflicts are easily resolved. I would have liked a little more drama and hardships in the relationship.
I really liked her best friend Tamika who just says what she does and doesn't want, so I'm very excited to read her story!

Super cute and a read that solidifies that I'm absolutely loving the grumpy/sunshine trope!
Adam (the grump) has been living with heartbreak after getting left on the aisle by his long time love which had left him at odds with his twin brother and best friend Georgia.
Georgia enlists her friend Evie (the sunshine) to help get to try and get an HGTV contract by renovating the small town where Georgia and Adam grew up.
Adam and Evie can't help but be drawn to one another. Having to share an upstairs/downstairs situation with a dog that Evie doesn't (though she'll eventually) like keeps them in proximity, but curiosity and intrigue on both parts draw them together.
I really like Adam so much! He had a sense of purpose and he's got a good heart inside even though he tries to keep his gruff exterior always up. I liked how Evie could pull some smiles from him.
I am excited to read the next in the series when it's out! I will definitely read more of Brittany's other books too.

I love this fantasy world! I love the characters and liked to follow their quest to return Rò (a child Goddess) to her parents in the Afterworld. While I would have liked a bit more conflict in these guys getting INTO the Afterworld, I still enjoyed the journey.
Mae, Ophelia, and Kiel are the best of friends and most importantly, they are family to each other. Mae has a very protective bird, Orion, that is such a blast (honestly my favorite in here) and I definitely would want one of him watching over me!
The stories that are told throughout this quest are amazing in and of themselves. They tell the truth of the background of some of our characters that they never knew.
There is also a romance woven throughout between Mae and Ophelia. They are so sweet together. I love that Ophelia always shows Mae that she's worthy and she matters!

Chapter 15 "but she won't discover that it's him til Chapter 3" (Beauty and The Beast)
I didn't think that when I started this book that I would grow to adore Prince Phillip (because I did feel in book 1 he was totally the Robot Prince!) as much as I did! 😍 Oh, when he leaves his royal duties to go to Alessia's village and gets to be the man, not the Prince.....I mean, I like that guy!
Alessia is such a great character. She is so lovely and I love her bond with her Nonno! As things are thrown at her once she finds out who Phillip is, she deals with it with as much poise as she can in that moment (even with an embarrassing start with the Queen.. Which had me laughing!).
I love the side characters- Luci, Marco, Graves, Henrietta, Juliet, etc... even Callum is back to being a gem in my eyes! As much as I loved Rafe and Sera in book 1....Phillip and Alessia may have an edge up on my heart ❤️
But this book is full of laughs (the peacocks!) and nods to certain movies.... Such fun!

Dax and Rory are just super cute enemies to lovers!
This book was a whole lot of fun. I love the deal they make to help each other out. I love that Rory gets to find out about book tropes that actually do come true in real life. I love how dax is so committed to his mother and the situation that they both were in, bonded them in a special way even though it was tragic what happened.
I really like that this book intersects with Wild About Violet which I actually read before I read this one. Those scenes just took me back to how much I loved that book also.
There's one character that I could not stand because he was a big old bully. You would think that adults wouldn't be that way but nope we can sometimes be worse than kids 😔

I fell hard for Ash and Rose! They both have some traumas in their past. Ash's past has gotten her banned from Hollywood and Rose's past has anxieties that come to play especially related to flying.
I love to see these two together. Even with those backgrounds that sometimes get in the way of life I thought they were both really strong. Their connection is really sweet and they are so supportive of one another. It does take a while for them both to open up about their pasts to the other but once they do it's really nice to see the understanding that they each have.
I really liked Rose's sisters and Emma, Ash's friend. They were such good supporting characters and sometimes helped give the kick one of them needed towards the other. There are some great moments in here with Rose's pugs and I really love the scene with the pottery and the call to the movie Ghost!

I can see how this might be triggering for someone who has had a miscarriage. This book has a lot of reflection on choices that people make.
Emily used to dream of going on the road with her boyfriend Rob playing music... Becoming the next Johnny and June or John and Yoko. Until they both lose something (miscarriage)so they lose themselves.
Years later, she's married and suffers another miscarriage and her marriage might be falling apart. She doesn't't feel fulfilled as a psychologist anymore and misses the music. She needs to make a decision.
I flew through it in a day but I didn't really connect with any of them.
