I liked this second chance between coworkers/friends Cord and Pearl. Cord is the ultimate sweetest guy to have in your corner. I get a little why Pearl kept him at arms length for so long but in a way I walked to share her and say "you KNOW Cord is different from all those other guys that did you wrong. Be with him!"
I really liked Cord and Tye's mentor/mentee relationship. Cord was such a great influence for Tye even though they were already a great kid. Cord just helped give them an ultimate boost to pursue their dreams.
I liked the many texts exchanges sprinkled throughout. I love the STEM rep. But, I ALMOST had to throw my Kindle across the room because there was a lead in to a trope I absolutely HATE but it didn't actually go there but the hint of it was enough to make me tense up for a bit.

Really short but I didn't appreciate the content.
Tilly was an exchange student in high school that was humiliated by Brady after being dumped before a dance.
Now she's back loving in NY and River into Breast at her job. He invites her to a party and she, with her roommate, decides to get revenge on him... By the immatureness of lighting dog poop on fire and giving him laxatives.
It doesn't go as planned and when she runs, he chases her and forgives her for trying to humiliate him.
That's the story. Not worth reading though I love her other books

I really, really loved Cat in this. In a very male dominated field, she was determined to give her all at every point to show that women have as much power in this industry as men! It was just amazing to watch her work. I also loved that she gave back so much to this town of Merry and that she was just so giving in every aspect of her life and career.
Sweet, sweet Noah. He's a great dad/co-parent with his ex and a great city manager. He is so caring for this town that gave him the best outcome even if his childhood wasn't the greatest.
These two together, fighting or (hotly) getting it on, was just pure entertainment and angst!

It was so good to be back with Hawk and Nicole!
Christmas Eve/morning finds Nicole needing to relocate, a bit unfortunately, Hawk's Christmas gift to get. Along the way, they find a teenage girl looking to find her missing mother. With the necklace and soon a book leading the way, Nicole and Hawk save two people from an abusive situation.
While a very hard subject to have to read, this book was heartwarming and an ultimately good book.

I love how this adventure with Drew and Tess begins! Tess gets trapped in a broken handled bathroom stall (with a ridiculous floor to almost the ceiling door) and Drew, a paramedic rescues her while talking her through a panic attack.
Then Tess, who is volunteering by answering Santa letters, finds a 16 year old letter by Max that went unanswered and soon begins a writing correspondence as "Christmas Pen Pal" with the now, her age, letter writer.
This has such cute You've Got Mail vibes. Drew is a wonderful guy and he even watches romantic comedies with his Grandma 😍
Tess is finding her own way in the world without her parents influence and money dictating her every step and decision and I was just cheering her on for the goals she set herself.
I love that Tess has conflicting feelings for Drew and he for her. I liked to see them become friends

I liked this in some ways: it was a quick read with short chapters that took me 4 hours to read. It reads like a play in ways (and you'll understand why when you read it) but also felt a bit disjointed. I saw a twist or two. I did like the nod to the author's first book.
Cons are that I didn't care for any of the characters. I found them flat, even the "ex-movie star". The "locked room" island affair should have excited me but didn't give me the thrill like others like it I've read.
But I am glad that I was able to read this early even if it's not my fav of his

Really cute Christmas read that takes place in a small town.
Bella comes from LA to a tiny Colorado town with one goal... Get a tiny shop owner to sign it over to her company. When she gets there, the grandson (Jesse) of the shop's owner refuses to sell for the low ball offer. Instead, they make a wager in the Christmas town games.
I love the snowy setting, I really liked Pops who was so wise, I love how most fell in love with Bella while she had her ruse up but also that once that ruse fell apart..... She still saw the goodness of the town and people that she did a great thing to help save the store.

This book has so much humor that I was constantly smiling and laughing out loud! Chelsea and Mason and their relationship throughout is so sweet and meaningful and swoony!
Chelsea is one of my favorite people in books ever. She has the most funny internal dialogue and when she says the same types of things out loud, it's very "foot in the mouth". Her brother John might actually be an evil genius 🤣.
I knew immediately what he was doing setting up Chelsea on the crap dates and making Mason act as "the older brother" while he couldn't. Mason 🥰 he is just the best type of guy. I love how he starts to show Chelsea how much she means to him by the sweet little things he does for her. I loved when he became bold and told her outright that he likes her and has for years *swoon*

A Christmas road trip with some fun stops along the way for Lauren and Will and a chance to make a new impression on each other made this great story super fun.
Will has had the chance to change his life around and when his best friend Spencer needs his sister to take a ride with Will, Lauren refuses because she can't stand to be around Will and her not so dormant feelings for him. But because she has no choice, she joins him on a road trip home for Christmas.
I really like the Will redemption arc in this book. We get to hear about the mistakes he made as a young man but get to see the ways he has/is trying to change. I love the way these two "hate" each other and the banter they have at the trip goes along. The actual reason for Will's road trip is sweet. Just a feel good novel for the Christmas season!

This was a book that I just flew through in a day!
I really liked the enemies to lovers we get through Ian and Charlotte. Ian being undercover but still being truthful about the things that matter (his personality and his beliefs) is just a big draw to this book for me. It makes him seem just super real.
I really liked Charlotte. I loved that she really didn't know what her father was up to and she wasn't at all snobbish like I thought a rich girl like her would be. I really thought she made growth through this book and that's a bit of a credit to Ian.
The barber between these two is so fun. The way he apologizes near the end 🥹 was just so sweet and just endeared him to me more! I can't wait to continue this series!
