Another great, didn't want to put down until I finished, fast moving read from AJ!

One night, Christina is driving and hits something...... Or so she thinks. Then finds out her husband, Michael, is the victim of a hit and run.
Did she do it?

I love how her books just keep me flipping pages and on my toes. I just can't believe the secrets that keep coming out about Michael and what a scum he turned out to be! I had one thing that happened in this story pegged down 😳 and holy..... It's not good (that certain situation.... Not the story) I was glad for the one person that Christina KNEW she could trust through this whole situation and was there for her through every horrible ordeal.

I can always count on Whitney and Elk Lake, WI to show me a good time. This book is full of funny moments but also deals with a heavy subject (death of loved one... Off page and in the past)

After Trina's show was cancelled, she decided to stay in Elk Lake for the summer. She's renting a cabin whose wall is shared with Heath, a guy she went on one date with a year ago in Chicago. Trina is looking for a relationship and Heath is not.

I love that the girl group from the previous books invite Trina in wholeheartedly and that their guys make Heath feel welcome. I didn't like when Heath was immature and jealous and said something terrible to a potential interest of Trina's. I do like what happens at the end of this book, it sounds so great for this small town community.

Chasing Mr. Wrong is RIGHT! I could not stand Nick and could not see why Zoey thought he was her "perfect"man... especially after what she went/goes through with her X.

Zoey had a lot of interesting ideas about how a great relationship can be found through science and certain rules. I didn't ever agree with that but it was nice to see Zoey figuring out herself along the way

When her sister gets involved with a "love potion" (cue that magical realism) for Zoey and her neighbor Ray... It brings the story to the questions of destiny and chemistry and finding the right person at maybe the wrong time.

This book made me want to take a vacation to Holland's lodge!

Ivy is sent to the Emerald Canopy Lodge for a work event. She has been sent to help with an event and take a meeting with a high profile client. Her cheating ex co-worker should have been there but he makes a mess on the sidelines anyway. Many mishaps  are saved by the lodge's owner Holland.

Holland has been working at the lodge after leaving New York. He mostly keeps his head down and the lodge running but he's dealing with turmoil in his private life. He also has a sweet French bulldog named Slate. He rescues Ivy when someone decides he can manhandle her and claim her 🤬(tw sexual assault)

Get ready for lots of nature, laughs, tears, and learning that it's ok to lean on someone during the rough times.

This is a plot that's very popular right now- locked room thriller type on an island with no help to be seen till near the end.

A reality show that didn't sound great honestly- 5  couples compete doing challenges with their SO but could basically swap partners if they felt like it.. but no one expects a big tropical storm that leaves the couples stranded.

You get the typical Lord of the Flies type plot ... One person decides they know better and makes decisions for the group that puts them at odds, starts fights, changes loyalties and dynamics. Then people start dying off one by one.

It did get very page turn-y at the end but no really big twists I thought.

It was so nice to get more of Brittany and her story in this third installment of the series.

Brittany sent her son off to college and opened a cafe which has been her dream (thanks in a way to dumb dumb Keith). She still mourns her brother, Paul, who she lost years ago. She's in the middle of her parents' complaints about each other and she literally runs into Ryan, her brother's best friend and former crush who is back in town.

While Brittany tries to do a good thing and makes an Angel Board- where customers can pay for another person's treats - she starts getting cryptic messages targeting her. She must navigate this all while running her new business.

I like Brittany a lot. She's a great single mom and just an all around good person. I'm glad to have witnessed her journey to forgiveness and healing. I love this town in the book and I love how the townspeople watch out for each other.

Ellie lost her husband and wants to continue to look into his genealogy in Scotland. She heads there with her friend. She meets the brooding and handsome Lawson who is so surly! But Larson won't leave her alone until he tells her of her true nature.

This was filled with mythology of selkies and sirens. I liked how fast Ellie grabbed onto her destiny and love of her people. I loved to watch Lawson melt for her. I truly hope that he can rest in the knowledge that Ellie will help him reclaim what he once lost. The ending threw me a bit with some shock that made sense though and now I need (demand 😉) more immediately!

This was cute. A city girl buys a vacation for her boyfriend, the boy breaks up with herand the girl goes on vacation alone and meets a new guy. Not that she expected to but it happened.

Presley had never thought she would enjoy nature but she wanted to make her guy happy. When that falls apart, she is determined to make the most of this vacation anyway. I love that she goes and tries new things like hiking and fishing.

Beckett is just super sweet. I love how he is helping his siblings with the lodge. He is putting his own dream on hold for them. He didn't expect to fall for Presley.

My favorite was Ollie, Beckett's niece! She is such a cutie.

There are lol moments/mentions - forced proximity per a broken thermostat, "hot mountain man" on TikTok, the brothers who split their pub literally down the middle because they had a falling out, Beckett's sister blurting out to a guest ogling him that Presley was his girlfriend, etc

Julia has been volunteering as a massage therapist at the nursing home where her beloved grandmother lives but because of money and new ownership must leave.
There is where Matt's grandmother lives also and it's facing eviction and while Julia had all the love from hers, his was cold towards him though she raised him after his parents died.

Matt is a very complicated character and for much of the book, I was kind of indifferent to him. (TW- lots of drug/booze use from him). Though he didn't deserve the hate/silence from his Grandmother. But I feel he was redeemed at the end and I came to care for him.

In phone conversations, a journal, and the spotty memories of the two grandmas.. The past is slowly coming together. These two women have a history but because of their mental ailments it's hard to piece together.

True to Kerry's books, this is full of drama, secrets, lies, love, and astonishing conclusions. Matt's journey takes some interesting turns as he tries to make it to California.

I really liked Emily. She's a rookie reporter on the crime beat for a Boston paper. She has great instincts (though blinded by a handsome boy) and sees a connection to several shootings that no one thought had to do with one another. She is tough and there's not much that will scare her off.

I have to admit that while it might seem a bit slow to others, I felt this was a page turner! I just had to see how this all came together and admit that I was blown away by a party of the ending...I just didn't expect a certain plot point at all.

I would definitely read another book by this author!
