I was so excited about this book but it kind of fell flat for me. There were a lot of hard names. I'm all for different names.... Just not overly complicated ones. There was magical action but not enough to keep me very interested. I probably wouldn't continue with the series.
I loved every part of this wonderful book! It was well worth the wait.
I loved Annika and Jonathan together. I loved that Jonathan saw beyond Annika's incapability to interact with her world like others do. I love that Annika had people in her life to help her find ways to cope with her disorder and that she find ways to then cope while living by herself.
Their reconnection 10 years later was wonderful and the terrible day that comes at the end of the novel- I was crying. I knew where it was going and it made me weep.. That's all I'll say there.

I love that this story is based on the lives of her 4th great grandparents!
The Hawaiian islands and the Hawaiian myths of Maui and his magical fishhook. Get a very Moana vibe (with even the words hei hei making an appearance). I love the traditions and the way they honor their ancestors.
Beautiful love story. It starts with it's difficulties, but blossoms slowly into love.

Such a cute story! Who wouldn't want a book that what you wrote inside came true? Poly and her very active imagination brings this to life at her school fair.
Full of cute drawings and funny stuff happening. Great characters (like Dawson Dawsons)

Great book! Fun story of how the Queen of Hearts becomes what she is in Alice!
Wow, wow, wow. This was a really well written book! I think the author did a really good job of making me never know who's side I was actually on - Becky the mother or Meghan the daughter.
I was back and forth on who I believed throughout the entire story. (Though most of the time I was siding with Meghan...)
The ending was a very big shock (although now that I think of it, little suspicions that turned out to be partly right kept creeping into my head)!

3.5 - A mother's worst nightmare comes true for Claire. Her girls are kidnapped when she has to pull her car over because she's suffering from an allergic reaction.
As a mother it's hard to see what Claire goes through in the aftermath!
The writing and story flowed easily. I was easily put into a couple of the characters shoes and I felt with them and for them.

Kya, the Marsh Girl, had such resilience. I can't believe all the people that abandoned her. Each with their own reasons, but how could they just leave that little girl? I was amazed at how she learned to survive by herself at such a young age.
I loved Tate and then hated him a bit, but went back to loving him. He was good for Kya. Chase should never have been in her life.
The ending made me sad and had me crying. It also shocked me. Delia made a well done story that pulls at the heart strings.

While the writing was good and fast paced, the ending left me confused. I THINK I know that was going on but I'm not sure. It's totally like an open ended question....
I really didn't like Alex. He was too cocky and too damning for his own good. While I enjoyed the thrill of "who is tormenting Alex?".... The ending just threw me off and I didn't like the end at all.
