Victoria gets kicked out of her house by her father and gets put into the foster care system. It's not really known for a bit why but once it comes out..... It's on a very hard subject. There are some other issues that are dealt with. Victoria finds a great friend and great boyfriend that eventually help her confront her past and help some people she left behind.

Wow what a crazy book. Poor Chloe throughout this whole thing! So many lies being told to her to sift through. As the lies start to unravel, it just keeps getting crazier. My favorite part of this book was the unknown second narrator that I just COULDN'T figure out who it was!
I am in the very small minority of not liking this book much. I felt that nothing really exciting ever really happened and I found myself dragging through the story. I wanted more magic and more action.
Sweet novella of a Beauty and the Beast retelling.
Rose is a very determined woman- so much that she secures a position to help her father pay back his debts.
Henry has shut himself away in his estate after the death of his parents and is course and kind of rude to those he deals with.
I really liked the faith Henry has in Rose when something goes wrong in the household.

Wow....I can tell you that the main character, Juliette, is certifiable! She is just so crazy in her obsession. There is a point in the book that you find something out that set Juliette on her crazy course. I think the author did a good job of making you feel sorry for Juliette a "tiny" bit but that feeling doesn't last!
The first maybe 30% seems extremely slow but the rest.....I flew through as the plot just got more twisted!

The writing was excellent and it was a very good "suck you in" thriller.
It's rare that I read a book and "figure out the mystery" in the middle of the book. Now I say it like that because I had NO CLUE about myself because there was still more crazy things to come.
Emma is a very interesting person and I really liked her character. I really disliked Adrian, but the way he was written....I think you are made to! I didn't much like Carrie until the end.

I love learning everything I can about this case. I love that it's still such a mystery over a hundred years later. Even after reading this book, I'm not entirely convinced that Lizzie did it. I'm not entirely convinced she didn't either I guess we'll never know the true story....
Wow this book was worth the wait!
I devoured this book. Poor Olivia, lying brain dead and pregnant in a hospital. We go back and forth in time-getting glimpses of Olivia and what lead up to her fall. Abi- I just loved her. She did everything for her daughter and would not stop until she got the truth.
This story was very emotional and heartbreaking. All the characters were complex and compelling. I cried through the last few chapters.

Adeline and Charity are two friends as close as sisters. I really enjoyed the bond they had. So wrong of Charity's father to threaten Adeline into finding a match for her friend or risk losing her income. Adeline sorely needs it as her father's health is deteriorating.
They both are forced to the country to Charity's Aunt's house to "find a new match" for Charity after a broken engagement. There we meet Evan who is quite brash to Adeline at first. I enjoyed the progression of their relationship.
The snow storm scene was very scary and I'm glad it didn't turn out worse.

This was such an amazing book! Very gripping and emotional. Most people might realize who "the Huntress" is early on, like I did, but will still be fascinated to see how the story plays out! Some might even love her a little bit, not the person she was before, but the person she tries to become. She still did some shady things while kind of loving her though.
Nina was such a firecracker and I took an instant like to her. Ian and Tony were so great and I loved the Nina/Yelena & Nina/Ian relationships (even with how unconventional the second relationship might have been).
This is my first book by Kate but definitely won't be my last. Make sure when you read the book to read the Author's note at the end.
