This was not my favorite out of the books so far. It was a lot of Juliette, now the Supreme Commander, with no idea what she is doing. It was a lot with Warner and Juliette and their relationship and not a lot of the other characters of previous books. I felt it was too long for what it was....
We did get more background on Juliette though which I liked....I just don't know where this story will lead.

Just as good as the first, maybe slightly better! It was well worth the wait. I loved seeing Caraval from Tella's perspective. It's really hard to tell what is game and what is real and that's one of the most exciting parts of these books. I loved seeing Tella grow and grow as the story progressed. The ending was perfection even though it's a big cliffhanger left for the next book! Waiting again for the third will be so hard, I really can't wait to see how this story ends!
It wasn't too bad of a book but just one that took me FOREVER to finish! I liked trying to figure out the mystery of what happened. I felt the book was a lot longer than it should have been.
Although I enjoyed the first book, I adored this one! I love Lenora. I empathise with her and her struggles. I grew to care for Catherine right along with Lenora. Although it's hard to see the romantic male with the same name as one of your kids, I really enjoyed Aiden and his devotion to giving Catherine a life she deserved.
I have always loved The Scarlet Pimpernel as a story/play. I liked having it twisted on its head having a woman as the Pimpernel.
What a creepy story! We don't find out what really happened that night with Calvin, Angela and Geo until near the end and I was shocked. It hurt to learn what happened and how much Geo had to actually do with Angela's murder. Something that happened at the end of the book (which I won't reveal because it's a spoiler, I didn't see coming at all and it made me feel sick for Geo. But it also made me sympathize with her for the being in jail for her part.
Thanks to St Martin's Press for this ARC! I have never read a book by her so I didn't know what to expect, but I loved it! Suspenseful and surprising. I didn't even get close to guessing the ending until I actually was almost at the end. I'll make sure to read her earlier two novels
Owen and Annette's relationship is fun. Her brothers are mischievous, but not horrible like their Aunt thinks...... they are just being little boys. Aunt Ruth is a terrible, terrible person! I'm glad the book didn't deal with her much. Charlotte (I read her book first) I did not like here.
This was a darling book! It always felt weird with Sophia and Brand. So in contrast, I adored Prudence and Brand. Once the misunderstanding was cleared between the two at the beginning of the book, they seemed to fall quickly into being friends and then quickly into love.
I am so excited to hear that there will be a book with Sophia's and Abby's stories each!

Wow.......... just wow! I did NOT see that coming. Creepy and so good! I just had this feeling of hating Adam and his mom through most of the book...... what a wrong feeling about one of them.....
