This was a creepy tale, if a little long and slow at times. The end had my gut in knots! It would probably be a good read during Halloween time

I thought this was a fabulous debut! I love Emmy and Rhys and their relationship. I felt bad for Evie. The ending is both bittersweet and happy!

*2 and a half stars* it was ok. I got quite bored in the middle of it and almost didn't want to finish. but I did and I'm at least glad I got the conclusion of the story

How would you feel about everyone hating you based on your last name alone? I felt sorry for Sam because of that. But i enjoyed this book a lot. Witches, Salem, and even a ghost only Sam could see....what's not to enjoy?
The writing drew me in quickly. I love that it's based a bit on the author's ancestors. I liked the modern day Salem Witch Trials with the Mean Girl attitude thrown in, even though The Descendents were pretty harsh most of the book.

This book had intrigue and was always throwing me for a loop in relation to certain characters. Lots of mystery and didn't quite end the way I was thinking it might.

Kind of felt it was a slow start to the story, but about 100 pages in and I just flew through the rest of the book! I really got a kick out of the Dangerous Duke. James and Daphne were perfect together

This was a great book with a twist at the end that I didn't see coming but was glad how it came about.

won from a giveaway on Goodreads. took a long time for me to get into. cute story with receipts included, but I thought it could have been better. although I love how they had to talk to Chef "dimples" in the beginning

Great Labryinth type story with goblins and an underground world. Liesl slowly finds herself and the great composer she should have always been. I was sad when she had to leave, but can't wait to see if she goes back in the next book. Still some mystery surrounding the Goblin King that I wish had been answered....
