This is the first book I finished that hasn't come out yet! Look for this in March 2021. Thanks to Readforeverpub for my gifted copy.
This book was so fun and I honestly laughed at almost every chapter (there are some sobering moments and I didn't expect to cry a bit at those but I did).
Reena kind of doesn't have a lot of luck in jobs or relationships. One day she meets her hot new neighbor Nadim (who is totally swoony) and come to find out.... They may have been two parts of an arranged marriage! They start hanging out and even entering a contest.
This was just so great and I loved learning about foods from India and Africa. Reena's family is so quirky and they all hide secrets from each other and you know how it's going to go down with them all being revealed!

It took me about 100 or so pages for it to pick up a bit for for me but I fell in love with Addie!
Addie prays for an escape from the way her life is headed but she makes the mistake of praying to "the gods who answer after dark".
She is then forced into an existence where people forget her as soon as they turn away. She gets to see many things come into the world over her 300 years since her deal with the devil. Then she meets Henry..... And he remembers her. How is this possible?
While I would have chosen to write him a little more rounded out, I'm glad Addie finds him.
Also over the 300 years, Luc (as he wants her to call him) pops up every now and then hoping to finish his deal with Addie. As the book went on, the more and more I wanted her to give in to Luc and all he could give her.
The ending is either supposed to leave room for a sequel or to be left to the reader's interpretation of what it means. I actually hope for the former but could be satisfied with the latter also.

What do you get when you cross a princess and a cab driver? A Hallmark movie... Except not because this gets spicy!
Leo is raising his little sister after their parents die in a car accident. Marie is visiting New York to talk at the UN, she is also a princess.
She gets Leo to drive her around to her appointments after a car mishap and they become friends. But when he's invited to her home country.... They become a whole lot more!
I like that Marie wasn't a typical princess. She was a bit unsure of herself at times and Leo was always there to let her know what she really was capable of and who she was to him. I love the life he was giving his sister as they navigate it together.

Pretty good modern telling of A Christmas Carol. I honestly don't know what to say because the Christmas Carol Story is well known, but it is a good look into how your life is based on the decisions you make.
I loved Ben and Daphne. They had a lot of ups but some downs. I was honestly sick at the thought of Ben possibly being with Alice and when that future is presented, I was justified in my feelings, I thought.

Beautiful story about Rayna and getting to rise above what she grew up with.
Her home life wasn't great as her parents constantly fought. She goes home with her friend Chloe to Silver Heights and instantly falls in love and soon married Chloe's brother Ethan.
Ethan helps his dad on their home ranch. His mom isn't thrilled with Rayna and Ethan's choice to be with her.
There is a lot of growth that happens with Rayna and Ethan's mom. They have such a rough beginning but learn to eventually forgive and move forward. Raina grows in so many areas, even with helping in the ranch.
Great debut novel. Thanks to katerockbooktours for letting me read this story.

A little bit longer of a novel than I thought necessary but it did tell a great story.
I love the back and forth between Anna in 1940 and Morgan in 2018. I felt so bad for Morgan and what her boyfriend did to her just to escape punishment. I loved the little weird parts of the mural that Morgan uncovers and the reason we find the little clues to a very big mystery.
I was quite satisfied with the ending.

Trigger warnings:
Mention of rape, beatings, racial slurs
This story is set in 1962 in South Carolina.
Evaline (Evvie) is a black girl spending her summer before her last year of high school experiencing her first love (Clay) and the growing of her power or Jubilation. This is a power sent down the generations/line of women in her family. This is a power to heal and save and exact vengeance on those who wrong them.
But someone who had wronged her and took something from her comes back and threatens all she holds dear. Can her powers of Jubilation help her?
Evvie is a fast learner at this magical power and a natural. She really heeds her Grandmother's instructions. She is a really sweet girl. I appreciate when she learns what this person took from her that she can get back. (Though there is a very bad thing he did to her that she can't claim back).

Well maybe not the best Regency I've read but it was still fun. Margaret is determined to catch the eye of Mr. Northam and she will settle for no one else. So why is she so bothered by Lord Williams? Maybe because he offends her with his haughtiness and arrogance.
Lord Williams is trying his best to make sure she doesn't get trapped in his cousin, Northam's, rakish ways. Going as far as securing his own engagement to Margaret behind her back.
While I enjoyed the back and forth of jesting been the two.... Most times I just wanted them to ACTUALLY talk!
I had to laugh a lot though at the donkey near the end.... Trust me, the donkey part is funny.

I've heard this is everyone's favorite book because of Chapter 55 (all I ever heard of was Chapter 55, wow Chapter 55) but honestly I've read stuff like that in other books. I actually agree with some of my friends that Chapter 54 is better. It helps me understand Rhys and why he wants Feyre so much.
I am liking this series ok but it's not a high favorite. It's not bad but it's not the best I've ever read.
I did really like the end of this one and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds in the next one

This was an interesting one. I fully expected a "husband wants his wife's money, kills his wife for it and also has an affair" but it was a bit different.
Tabitha and Conner were teenage lovers. They lost touch but she always knew where Conner was. He married Nina and war all over the news with her. Tabitha and Conner meet once again and start an affair of their own. Then Nina dies. Even though it's ruled as a suicide, some suspect foul play.
This was a very readable thriller and not all so predictable as I thought it might be. I never really suspected Connor but there were a few doubts. I really liked Tabby. She does good at the end but I don't want to spill much for that that haven't read yet.
